French newspaper: If Western troops come to Ukraine, they will not have the right to fight Russia
(Baonghean.vn) - AFP news agency (France) said that if Western troops come to Ukraine, they will not have the right to fight the Russian army.

According to Ria Novosti on February 28, AFP news agency reported that Western troops, if sent to Ukraine, would not have the right to fight the Russian Armed Forces. They would only be tasked with clearing mines, ensuring security for neighboring countries and repelling cyber attacks.
"Any Western troops sent to Ukraine in the future will not be given the mandate to fight Russian forces. They will work on the priorities identified by French President Macron at the press conference, including clearing mines, ensuring the security of neighboring countries such as Moldova and repelling cyber attacks," AFP said.
Earlier, at the International Conference on Aid to Ukraine in Paris on the evening of February 26, French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized that the West will do everything to prevent Russia from winning, and considered this a key factor to ensure security and stability for Europe. French President Emmanuel Macron also mentioned for the first time the possibility of the West sending troops to Ukraine. However, this issue has not yet reached a consensus among Western leaders.
Commenting on the French President's statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 27 that Moscow had drawn attention to the topic of the West sending troops to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, in France, the leader of the nationalist party "Patriots" Florian Filippo called for a withdrawal from NATO, following President Emmanuel Macron's announcement of the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
The politician called the French leader's rhetoric against Russia "belligerent and insane." In addition, Mr. Filippo said that by doing this, the president is trying to avoid "shipwreck and achieve the goal of canceling the presidential election."
Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, said that the possibility of Western countries sending their troops to Ukraine would increase the risk of direct conflict between NATO and Russia./.
