Phan Dinh Sang arrested for acts of undermining the State.
Phan Đình Sang used five Facebook accounts to participate in groups opposing the State. Sang disseminated and shared numerous articles containing propaganda and distorted historical information.
On March 12th, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Department initiated a criminal case, indicted the suspect, and detained Phan Dinh Sang (born in 1967, residing in Huong Khe district) for four months on charges of "the crime of...Producing, possessing, or disseminating information, documents, or items aimed at opposing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam."
According to investigators, from 2016 to 2023, Phan Dinh Sang created, managed, and used five Facebook accounts to participate in reactionary and anti-government groups and organizations online.

During his time living and working in Laos, due to his dissatisfaction with the regime, the individual posted, disseminated, and shared numerous articles, images, and videos containing propaganda, distorted history, and slandered the government.
Previously, Phan Đình Sang had a criminal record, having been sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Gia Lai Provincial People's Court for embezzlement.
It is known that Phan Dinh Sang had connections with reactionary and dissident groups both domestically and internationally, including Duong Van Thai (born in 1982, who was arrested by the Ha Tinh Provincial Police on April 14, 2023, for illegally crossing the border in Son Kim 1 commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province).
The prosecuting authorities are continuing to investigate, clarify, and handle the case in accordance with the law.
