In 2023, the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee will continue to direct the implementation of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 on tourism in conjunction with concretizing the goals and tasks of Action Program No. 55-CTr/TU dated January 4, 2018 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council and the 2023 Tourism Development Plan for sectors and localities in the province.

In 2023, the whole province will welcome and serve 8,360,000 visitors, of which 5,280,000 will be overnight visitors, equal to 120% compared to 2022, of which 77,500 will be international visitors, equal to 231% compared to 2022; tourism revenue will reach 7,800 billion VND, equal to 139% compared to 2022.

Compared to the requirements of the growth scenario in 2023, the tourism industry has exceeded the set targets in terms of both the number of visitors and tourism revenue, contributing to the total GRDP income of the province.

However, the progress of implementing some key tourism projects is still slow after being granted investment certificates; service quality in accommodation establishments shows signs of decline, especially those that have not registered for star recognition; There are no large-scale, high-quality tourism products or complexes to extend the length of stay and increase spending of tourists...

Implementing the 2024 plan, the tourism industry strives to welcome a total of 5,500,000 tourists with accommodation (equal to 104% compared to 2023), including 120,000 international visitors (equal to 155% compared to 2023), tourism service revenue reaches 9,000 billion VND (equal to 115% compared to 2023).

From there, the key tasks and solutions proposed include: Continuing to promote infrastructure development, attracting investment to develop new tourism products and services, meeting the requirements of serving tourists; strengthening cooperation and linkage to develop tourism inside and outside the province; Innovating and improving the effectiveness of tourism promotion work associated with digital transformation...

At the meeting, members discussed the following issues: Promoting the role of special national historical sites in tourism development; building tours and routes to attract tourists; promoting solutions to attract foreign visitors; choosing to develop typical gift products and consuming OCOP products; innovating forms of propaganda and promotion.
