Vietnam team gets more strength before match against Indonesia
(Baonghean.vn) - Before the two matches against Indonesia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Vietnam National Team received good news when it had another main sponsor.
On the morning of March 14, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation, the ceremony to announce the main sponsors of the Vietnam national football teams took place.
2024 is considered an exciting year for Vietnamese football with many domestic and international competitions. In which, the national teams are all aiming for key international tournaments and most recently, the two matches between the Vietnam National Team and the Indonesian Team in the 2nd Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup will take place on March 21 (first leg) and March 26 (second leg).
In order to have the best support for the National Team levels, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company have signed a cooperation agreement to sponsor and accompany the National Women's Football Teams, National Men's Football Teams, and the Vietnam National U22 and U23 Football Teams in the period 2024 - 2027.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi - General Secretary of VFF said: "The new sponsor not only commits to accompany the country's football on every journey from 2018 to present, but also contributes to spreading the spirit of community responsibility, with the goal of raising the level of Vietnamese football. From there, it will further motivate the National Teams to continue to strive to contribute, achieve achievements at new heights, and meet the expectations of millions of domestic fans."
Also within the framework of the event, the Vietnam Football Federation organized "Football Exchange & Training Activities for more than 100 children from 4 SOS villages (Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Viet Tri) to interact with the players. The event is expected to spread and enhance the sports spirit in the community, towards a healthy and happy Vietnamese society.
After the announcement ceremony of the main sponsor, the U23 Team and the Vietnam Team entered the first training day of the training session.
In preparation for the 2024 AFC U23 Championship, Vietnam U23 will have two friendly matches with Tajikistan on March 20 and 23. The Vietnamese team will compete with Indonesia on March 21 and 26.
