Nghe An strongly spreads the message 'Pride of a country'
(Baonghean.vn) - Going beyond the meaning of a campaign, the message "Pride of a strip of mountains and rivers" has been realized by Nghe An youth through meaningful works and projects to light up the love for the Fatherland in their hearts.
PAINTINGS SENT TO TRUONG SA
In late February, the painting exhibition in response to the Campaign “Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers” held at Truong Bon National Historical Site touched the emotions of many people attending. More than 100 paintings on display were the best works selected from more than 400 entries from grassroots units.

Standing out among the paintings on display, the work with the theme “Vietnam, a thousand years of brocade” has left a special impression in the hearts of art lovers with its many creative ways of expression. Throughout the painting is the image of the entire territory of Vietnam with the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa standing firmly in the middle of the ocean. And there are many highlights such as historical relics and cultural works that have become symbols of the three regions such as: One Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi, the Soviet Nghe Tinh monument in Nghe An, Ben Thanh market in Ho Chi Minh City.
Finally, the image of the Navy and Border Guard soldiers is a deep gratitude from the authors to those who are day and night guarding and protecting the borders and islands of the Fatherland.

The materials used to create the painting are succulents, seashells and seeds that are familiar to the agricultural sector of Vietnam. All are arranged harmoniously and logically.
It is known that this work was made by Ms. Dinh Thi Nhan (born in 1981) - Fine Arts teacher at Vinh University's Pedagogical Practice School; Ms. Nguyen Thi Van (born in 1988) - teacher at Nghi Duc Primary School and Ms. Nguyen Nhu Hau (born in 1997) - Member of the Committee of the Young Doctors Association of Nghe An province, obstetrician and gynecologist, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

Having devoted much effort to creating the painting, teacher Dinh Thi Nhan said that the “Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers” campaign is a special opportunity for her and art enthusiasts to be inspired with creativity and responsibility in their profession, contributing to lighting up the love for their homeland and country. When she learned about the contest, she and the other two authors discussed and agreed on ideas and implementation methods. The authors spent more than 10 days sketching, purchasing materials and completing the painting. Fortunately, the work was well received by art lovers and was widely disseminated during the exhibition.
The painting contest received more than 400 beautiful and creative works, made of various materials from all ages of primary, secondary and high school students, students, officials, civil servants, and public employees in the province. Among them, the work “Vietnam, a thousand years of brocade” was selected by the Central Youth Union to present to the officers and soldiers on duty in Truong Sa archipelago.
Besides this work, the Central Youth Union will continue to select a number of other excellent works from Nghe An province to present to Truong Sa in the near future.
ENHANCING LOVE FOR COUNTRY
Entering March, the month of Youth, Nghe An youth returned to Dien Bien - the land that witnessed 56 days and nights of "digging mountains, sleeping in tunnels, enduring rain, eating rice balls, blood mixed with mud..." of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign "famous in five continents, shaking the world". The fatigue disappeared when the delegation held an incense offering ceremony at Dien Bien Phu Cemetery located right at the foot of A1 hill, where thousands of soldiers who spent their youth fighting for the independence and freedom of the nation rest.

The journey back to the source was filled with pride and emotion as the delegation continued to visit the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum; A1 Hill, D1 Hill, Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument; visited the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Center in Phang village, Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien city; the command bunker of General Vo Nguyen Giap; the command bunker of General De Castries - commander of the Dien Bien Phu stronghold of the French army...
Although born in peacetime, the young people, when standing in front of the Dien Bien Phu battlefield relic complex, listening to the verses in the poem “Hoan Ho Chi Minh Dien Bien” by poet To Huu recited like a slow-motion film about the past, made the members of the delegation overwhelmed with emotion. We understood more clearly about the fierce and arduous war, were proud of the brave fighting spirit of our army and people, and the heroic sacrifice of the soldiers for national independence. From then on, we told ourselves that we would strive to compete in cultivating virtue, training talent, and devoting our youth to practical and meaningful works and tasks to build and protect our homeland and country in peacetime to be worthy of the sacrifice of our ancestors.
On the journey to Dien Bien, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union brought meaningful gifts, presented a “Great Solidarity” house worth 50 million VND to a family in difficult circumstances; presented 10 gifts to 10 poor students who strived to study well and presented 50 maps of the Fatherland.

Leaving Dien Bien, Nghe An youth carry with them pride in the revolutionary tradition of the Vietnamese people, pride in a Dien Bien Phu that “resounds throughout the five continents, shakes the world”. Memories of the journey to Dien Bien will always be a reminder for each member and youth to strive to study and contribute to the prosperous future of their homeland and country.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Linh shared: “Proud of a strip of land and rivers” is a campaign of the Central Youth Union that is widely deployed nationwide, at all levels of the Youth Union, Association, and Young Pioneers at home and abroad. This is a practical activity to educate patriotism and pride in the territorial integrity of every Vietnamese citizen in general, and union members and young people in particular.

In Nghe An, there have been many meaningful activities responding to this campaign to become one of the localities rated by the Central Youth Union as one of the top localities in the country.
The Youth Union chapters in the whole province have had many creative ways, such as launching the week of activities of the Youth Union and Teams "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers", performing a map of Vietnam, creating clips introducing landmarks across the country attracting a large number of young people to participate, the Golden Bell Contest "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers", the Presentation Contest about regions and red addresses...

After nearly 6 months of implementation, the whole province has had more than 11,000 maps presented and hung in prominent locations in offices, classrooms, and community rooms. There have been more than 500 clips responding to “Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers” introducing landmarks across the country; more than 2,000 Youth Union units and schools have responded with the participation of nearly 34,000 young people in the whole province participating in making a map of Vietnam.

The campaign has truly moved and awakened millions of hearts about the great significance of patriotism, enthusiasm and dedication of Vietnamese youth in the past, present and future.
