(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 21, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments and branches visited and encouraged officers and employees of the Martyrs' Grave Collection Team of the Provincial Military Command in Xieng Khouang province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.
According to the report of the Martyrs' Grave Collection Team of the Provincial Military Command, in the dry season of 2023/2024, the Team was assigned the task of searching for and collecting the graves of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Xay Xom Bun and Vientiane.

Up to now, after more than 5 months of surveying, searching and collecting martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2023/2024, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Nghe An Provincial Military Command has searched and collected 63 remains of Vietnamese martyrs and experts who died in Laos. The martyrs' remains were found at a depth of 0.8 to 1.5m, with many bones and teeth, carefully wrapped in hammocks and many relics such as: AK submachine guns, shoes, personal medicine bags, parachute scarves, buckets, multi-purpose hoes and shovels, rice bowls...

On behalf of the working delegation, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the Gathering Team of the Provincial Military Command.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, the Collection Team should overcome all difficulties to search, collect and bring the remains of martyrs who died on the battlefields of Laos back to the country to meet the wishes of the martyrs' relatives and families, which is also a meaningful and deeply humane act.
In addition, the unit closely coordinated with the Special Working Group of Laos from the province to the grassroots level, doing a good job of foreign affairs and mass mobilization; propagating and mobilizing Lao people to provide information about martyrs' graves, thereby proactively grasping, surveying, verifying, and ensuring accurate information sources to include in the upcoming collection plan./.
