Dozens of kilograms of suspected drugs seized on the beach

At 5:30 p.m. on March 29, in the area opposite address 2A Ha Long, Ward 2, Vung Tau City, Mr. H. (residing in Ward 2, Vung Tau City), discovered a white sack lying on the beach.
Mr. H. opened the sack and found rectangular packages inside. When he opened one package, Mr. H. discovered that the packages contained a white powder, suspected to be drugs, so Mr. H. went to the Ward 2 Police Station to report it.
Upon receiving the report, Ward 2 Police coordinated with Vung Tau City Police and other functional units to quickly arrive at the scene. Upon checking the sack, the functional forces discovered 21 rectangular packages containing a white powder suspected to be cocaine.
The police have examined the scene and sealed the above evidence to serve the investigation.
Previously, on March 27, Vung Tau City Police inspected a rented room on Do Luong Street, Ward 11, Vung Tau City, and discovered Nguyen Thanh Tuan (born in 1983, residing in Cang Long District, Tra Vinh Province) in possession of a plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance (suspected to be cocaine) weighing about 1kg and a mobile phone.
Tuan confessed that on March 25, an acquaintance said he saw a sack lying on the beach in Ward 10, Vung Tau City and drove Tuan to the beach to carry the sack back. Before returning, Tuan camouflaged the sack to avoid detection.
Upon arriving at the motel, Tuan opened the plastic bag and discovered that it contained a white crystalline substance suspected to be drugs. He took pictures of it with the intention of selling it to consumers if it was drugs.
The police have seized and sealed all 21 plastic packages containing white crystals (suspected to be cocaine) mentioned above to conduct investigation procedures according to the provisions of law.
Through this incident, the Police Department recommends that people, when discovering drugs or suspicious items of unknown origin, immediately report to the authorities and local authorities to carry out procedures and processes in accordance with the provisions of law.
