Arrested 2 foreigners 'carrying' drugs for 6,000 USD
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Border Guard force has successfully broken up project NA 1123, arresting 2 foreigners transporting a large quantity of synthetic drugs and many related exhibits from across the border to Vietnam.
Accordingly, at 9:15 a.m. on April 4, in Ai Khe village, Muong Ai commune, Ky Son district, the Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Nghe An Border Guard) coordinated with Muong Ai, Tam Hop, Na Ngoi, Nam Can Border Guard Stations and Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station to discover and arrest two subjects: Co Xong, born in 1994, permanent resident of Nong Pong village and Cha Menh Vu, born in 1978, permanent resident of Phon Hong village, Kham Cot district, Bolikhamxay province (Laos) illegally transporting drugs from across the border to Vietnam.

Evidence collected at the scene included 36,000 synthetic drug tablets, 1 sharp knife, 3 phones and some other related evidence.
According to initial statements, the above subjects were hired by an unknown man to transport the above drugs across the border for a fee of 6,000 USD.

Currently, Nghe An Border Guard is expanding the investigation, completing the case file and handing over the suspect and evidence to the authorities for handling according to the provisions of law./.
