Actress Huynh Uyen An, Tran Thanh’s younger sister, confided that she is still young and has time to develop in many different types of roles. Currently, she has a knack for roles in family and social films, so she tries to grasp and perform her role best to create characteristics and highlights for the audience first.
After playing Ngoc Nhi in the movie "Nha Ba Nu" and Binh Minh in the movie "Mai", both of Tran Thanh's brother, Uyen An participated in the movie "The Price of Happiness". She transformed into Nina Vo, the daughter of Mrs. Duong (played by Xuan Lan) and Mr. Thoai (played by Thai Hoa). Living in luxury and being pampered, Nina Vo also went to study abroad. However, she was not happy when she saw her family members suffering and not finding a way out.
Huynh Uyen An asserted that she is a professional actress, never thinking that she would only act in films produced and directed by her brother. When she has the opportunity to participate in other films, if it is fateful and suitable, she still tries to grasp it and participate to serve the audience. She hopes to have impartial comments about her acting under her name.
Faced with stereotyped, one-dimensional comments when continuously transforming into the character of a daughter on the big screen, Huynh Uyen An confided: "I think that the profession has arranged for me to have the opportunity to play the role of a daughter in a family, but of course there are still differences because each family is different, the story, circumstances, and fate of the character are also different. I think that I am still young, new in the film industry, so I need to build a unique role, unique in the hearts of the audience first, then consider developing into other types of roles."
She feels lucky to be able to experience many different psychological forms in the same role in different films. In particular, she gets to act with skilled actors like in the film "The Price of Happiness" where she plays with Meritorious Artist Huu Chau, Thai Hoa, Xuan Lan... That is also a challenge for her to portray the character differently and when watching, the audience will immediately know whether it is Ngoc Nhi, Binh Minh or Nina Vo.
