Arrested protection group, opened fire to show off at karaoke bar
On April 20, the Office of the Security Investigation Agency of Quang Ngai Province Police announced that it had prosecuted and temporarily detained a group of people who fired warning shots at a karaoke bar in Dung Quat Economic Zone.
Accordingly, the Investigation Security Agency has prosecuted Le Dang Dinh Doan (born 2000, residing in Binh Hoa commune), Nguyen Van Canh (born 2003, residing in Binh Chuong commune, Binh Son district) and Ho Dang Truong (born 2002, residing in Tinh Ha commune, Son Tinh district, Quang Ngai province) for the crime of "Illegal possession of military weapons". In particular, Nguyen Tien Manh (born 2006, residing in Binh Hoa commune) was also prosecuted for the crime of "Illegal use of military weapons".
The above subjects are a group of young men who are loitering around, participating in "protecting" a number of waitresses and karaoke bars in Binh Son district. In order to show off their power, Doan bought a gun online for 7 million VND, then lent it to the subjects in the group to take turns lending it to show off.
During a conflict with another group of young men at a karaoke bar in Binh Thanh commune (Binh Son district), Manh used a gun to shoot into the air to demonstrate his power, but was chased and beaten by the other group of young men, forcing Manh to throw away the gun and run away.
After the incident, Binh Son District Police urgently investigated and clarified the illegal use and possession of military weapons by Manh and other members of the group.
