(Baonghean.vn) - This is the direction of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to the Education sector and related sectors to strictly implement the collection of education and training fees in the 2024-2025 school year.

Previously, on May 13, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a document guiding the strict implementation of therevenueto implement Notice No. 193/TB-VPCP dated May 3, 2024 of Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai - Head of the Steering Committee for Price Management at the Steering Committee meeting on price management and operation to achieve the goal of stabilizing the macro economy and controlling inflation.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training requires relevant units and educational institutions to seriously implement the collection of fees in the education and training sector for the 2024-2025 school year.

In particular, for tuition fees, the collection level shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 97/2003/ND-CP dated December 31, 2023 of the Government.

Revenues from services to support school educational activities are implemented according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council in accordance with local conditions and Government regulations.

Educational institutions also need to implement policies on tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs and tuition fee payment in accordance with the provisions of Chapter IV of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP dated August 27, 2021 of the Government. In particular, from the 2024-2025 school year, 5-year-old preschool children in Clause 6, Article 15, Decree No. 81 are exempted from tuition fees (from September 1, 2024).

The Ministry also requires strengthening inspection, examination, supervision and accountability to learners and society about the collection levels and revenues of educational institutions under its management in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 127/2018/ND-CP; absolutely not allowing the situation of "overcharging" at the beginning of the school year; directing and thoroughly implementing educational institutions to mobilize, manage and use funding; publicly implementing and committing to the quality of education and training, conditions for quality assurance and financial revenue and expenditure.

In this document, the Ministry also requires that the prices of textbooks and educational materials and equipment will be implemented according to the 2023 Price Law (effective from July 1, 2024). In which, it stipulates that textbooks are on the list of goods regulated by the State and the Ministry of Education and Training sets the maximum price.

During the implementation process, the Ministry requested localities to direct relevant agencies, units, departments, branches and sectors to strengthen coordination in inspecting and supervising the implementation of regulations on posting and publicizing information on prices of educational materials, equipment and textbooks in the area to ensure publicity and transparency.

Regarding these contents, in Directive Document No. 3856/UBND-KGVX dated May 14, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Finance and the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to seriously implement the regulations on revenues in the field of education and training in the 2024 - 2025 school year in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training./.
