Nghe An Department of Health and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health signed a memorandum of cooperation
(Baonghean.vn) - The two Health Departments have agreed to comprehensively cooperate in the field of health development, focusing on prioritizing cooperation, supporting the training of quality human resources; and supporting the transfer of high techniques and technologies.
On the afternoon of May 8, in Vinh city, Nghe An Department of Health and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health held a conference to share experiences and sign a memorandum of cooperation in the health sector.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health and Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health co-chaired the conference.
Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial Agencies, Nghe An Department of Health, Vinh Medical University, medical centers and hospitals in Vinh city.
On the side of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, there were leaders of the Department of Health and leaders of hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health expressed her joy at welcoming the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health. The Director of Nghe An Department of Health sincerely thanked the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health for the practical support and assistance given to Nghe An Department of Health in the past time (according to the cooperation and exchange contents that the two Departments agreed upon at the meeting on May 17, 2023 between Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and Nghe An Department of Health).
Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa briefly informed the conference about the socio-economic development situation of Nghe An province; the current situation and achievements of Nghe An health sector in recent times; and at the same time clearly stated the development direction of Nghe An health sector in the coming time.
Accordingly, the Nghe An Health sector is currently focusing on implementing tasks according to the new Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, Directive 25 of the Politburo on strengthening grassroots health care. In particular, the Nghe An Health sector is focusing on researching and advising on implementing Resolution 39 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An to 2030, with a vision to 2045. In particular, the Health sector has a very important task, which is: building and developing the Vinh city health system to become the core of the specialized medical center of the North Central region.
At the conference, Nghe An Department of Health and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health exchanged and shared experiences on methods and effectiveness of implementing specialized medical development. Specifically, representatives of Nghe An Department of Health reported on the development orientation of specialized medical centers in Nghe An province; some cooperation contents in the next phase between Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City health.
At the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also shared experiences in organizing the Conference on orientation for specialized medical development; building the Project to develop Ho Chi Minh City into a healthcare center of the ASEAN region. At the same time, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also gave constructive comments to help Nghe An province become the core of the specialized medical center of the North Central region.
Based on the proposed contents of Nghe An Department of Health and the discussion content at the conference, to continue to strengthen cooperation between the two health sectors, Nghe An Department of Health and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and development in the health sector from now until 2025 and the following years.
The two Departments of Health have agreed on the following cooperation contents: Comprehensive cooperation in the field of health development, focusing on prioritizing cooperation and supporting the training of quality human resources; supporting the transfer of high techniques and technologies to help improve the capacity of medical examination and treatment at provincial hospitals in Nghe An province: Provincial General Hospital, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Lung Hospital, Eye Hospital, Endocrinology Hospital, Orthopedic Trauma Hospital, Vinh City General Hospital; supporting the construction and development of specialized departments in cardiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, surgery... towards the goal of Nghe An province becoming a specialized medical center in the North Central region.
Cooperate to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in disease prevention and control. Prioritize the exchange of information on monitoring and warning; transfer of testing techniques to serve disease prevention and control between the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control and the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control... Cooperate to share experiences in strengthening and improving the capacity of the grassroots health system, community health, and building a professional network of out-of-hospital emergency care.
Cooperate and share experiences in state management of healthcare, quality management of medical examination and treatment; scientific research activities, innovation; building smart healthcare, administrative reform, application of information technology, digital transformation in the healthcare sector; developing medical tourism close to eco-tourism./.
