Quy Chau voters propose to soon complete the resettlement area for households affected by the Ban Mong Reservoir Project.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 7, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province had a meeting with voters of Chau Binh, Chau Hoi, Chau Nga communes, Quy Chau district.

At the meeting with voters, on behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegates, Mr. Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Defense and Security Committee of the National Assembly informed voters about the time and contents expected to take place in the 7th Session, 15th National Assembly, term 2021 - 2026.

Giving opinions at the meeting, voters of Chau Hoi commune reflected that currently the commune still has many pending land use right certificate applications due to problems in handling administrative violations regarding reclaimed land originating from October 15, 1993 to before July 1, 2004 and from July 1, 2004 to July 1, 2014. Voters recommended that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment issue a document with detailed instructions on handling this issue.

Currently, the allocation of funds to communes to implement sub-projects 2, under project 3 in the National Target Program, socio-economic development of ethnic minority areas is often at the end of the year, causing difficulties in building estimates and implementing processes and procedures according to regulations.
In addition, the end of the year often has unfavorable weather, plants and animals grow slowly, and diseases are likely to occur. Therefore, voters recommend that competent authorities consider allocating funds invested by the commune from the beginning of the year.

Voters in Chau Binh commune reported that the construction of Ban Mong reservoir has been prolonged, the resettlement area has been slow to progress, leading to the inability to arrange resettlement for affected households, making life difficult. Voters requested that authorities consider and soon arrange resettlement for these households.

Mr. Hoang Van Hiep in Na Pua village, Chau Nga commune, requested that all levels and sectors consider and resolve a number of issues related to middle school students in the area after merging Chau Nga and Chau Hoi schools into boarding schools.

Issues related to allowances for cadres participating in social organizations; compensation for site clearance for project implementation; regimes for families contracting and protecting forests; upgrading transformer stations to stabilize power sources, serving life and production and business;... were also proposed by voters to the provincial National Assembly delegation.
After listening to voters' opinions, representatives of local leaders and departments discussed and answered a number of issues within their authority.

On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee - Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province answered the issues within his authority. At the same time, he received the opinions and recommendations of voters to forward to the Government, the National Assembly and relevant levels and sectors for consideration and resolution.

Previously, the National Assembly Delegate visited and presented 15 million VND to support the family of Mr. Lo Van Tuan in Khum village, Chau Hoi commune (Quy Chau). Mr. Tuan's family is poor and in difficult circumstances, with a daughter, Lo Thi Le, suffering from leukemia and congenital hemolytic anemia. Le was advised by the doctor to undergo a splenectomy, but the family does not have the funds so it is being delayed.
National Assembly delegates also visited and encouraged two families in Chau Nga commune whose relatives died in traffic accidents.
