Location of fishing boat NA 4611 TS sunk by tornado at sea discovered

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 4, search and rescue forces were still searching for two crew members on the NA 4611 TS ship that went missing after a tornado sank the ship at sea in the early morning of May 3.

There were a total of more than 20 vessels participating in the search for 2 fishermen from Quynh Phuong Ward, Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An Province who fell into the sea and went missing. Of these, 18 vessels, with 126 crew members, were mobilized by local authorities and the family of the sunken ship owner; Quynh Phuong and Quynh Thuan Border Guard Stations, Nghe An Border Guard deployed 2 vessels, with 20 officers and soldiers participating; Squadron 102 of the Coast Guard Region 1 deployed 1 vessel, with 4 officers and soldiers participating in the search at sea.

By noon on May 4, the search team had discovered and determined the location of the sunken ship at coordinates 19°10'N - 105°49'E. However, due to deep water and lack of diving equipment, it was not possible to inspect the inside of the ship.

Currently, relevant units and forces continue to conduct search and rescue; together with the family, contact divers to check inside the sunken ship.
