Congress to establish the first grassroots union in Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 11, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union held a congress to establish a grassroots trade union at Andromeda Shoe Company in Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park.
Attending the event were representatives of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union and 150 workers representing 545 employees of the company.
Andromeda Shoe Company has been in operation since November 2023. Up to now, the number of employees working at the company has been 546 people. Of which, 400 are female and 146 are male. After a period of operation, 545 employees at the company have registered to join the Trade Union.
With the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the delegates elected the Company's Trade Union Executive Committee with 11 comrades, ensuring sufficient standards and structure, dedication, enthusiasm, closeness to the thoughts and feelings of union members and workers, and having enough intelligence and capacity to perform well the functions of the Trade Union in the coming time.
At the congress, the UnionSoutheast Economic Zoneannounced the decision to recognize 545 workers as union members and issued a decision to recognize the company's grassroots union executive board.
The event is considered a practical activity to celebrate the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024). It is known that this is the first enterprise in Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park to organize a congress to establish a grassroots trade union.
In 2024, to implement the target of developing the trade union organization in the whole province, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union was assigned to establish 5unionThe facility has over 25 workers and 7,600 new union members. Up to now, this unit has recruited 9 grassroots unions.
