Gold sets historic milestone of 85.2 million VND/tael
SJC gold remains firmly at its highest historical price of 85.2 million VND/tael, while world gold is anchored at approximately 2,340 USD/ounce.
Survey at 5:00 a.m. on April 28,gold priceon the trading floor of some companies as follows:

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 82.60 million VND/tael for buying and 84.80 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at VND 83.30 - 84.50 million/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 83.25 - 85.10 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 83.25 - 85.35 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,337.91 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 70.468 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 12.532 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
World USD ends the week at a high price
Today (April 28), VCB USD continued to trade at a low level, while the world USD closed the week at a high price of 106 points.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 24,246 VND/USD, down 18 VND compared to the trading session on April 26.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for transactions by commercial banks fluctuates from 23,400 - 25,450 VND/USD.

In the world market, the Dollar Index, which measures the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 106.09 points - up 0.47% compared to the transaction on April 26.
The Dollar Index closed the trading week up 0.47% at 106.09, as the recent PCE report showed that price pressures remain elevated in the US, reinforcing the view that interest rates will need to remain higher at least until December. Both the monthly headline and core measures were in line with expectations at 0.3% while the annual measure surprised to the upside.
Domestic coffee prices fell sharply
PricecoffeeDomestic price updated at 5:24 a.m. on April 28 decreased by VND2,400/kg, but still remained above VND131,000/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is VND131,600/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is VND131,700/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 131,500 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 131,700 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 131,000 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak province, in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 131,400 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 131,500 VND/kg./.
