Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung attended the meeting of the Political Department Party Cell, Provincial Border Guard.

Also attending the meeting were: Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard; Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee.

PERFORMING ASSIGNED FUNCTIONS AND TASKS WELL

The Political Department Party Cell is a grassroots Party Cell directly under the Provincial Border Guard Party Cell. The Party Cell has 29 Party members, of which 5 comrades participate in the Party Committee.

The Party cell of the Political Department has the function and duty of leading the implementation of political tasks; educating, managing and assigning work to Party members; carrying out mass mobilization work and Party member development work; inspecting, supervising and disciplining Party members; collecting and paying Party fees according to the provisions of the Party Charter.

At the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Cam - Secretary of the Political Department Party Cell, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard reported on the assessment of the ideological situation of party members; assessed the implementation of party members in maintaining contact with the Party Cell where they reside.

Party members also listened to and discussed the draft Resolution on leadership in implementing key tasks in May 2024; assessed the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII) in conjunction with the implementation of Directive No. 05 of the Politburo; commended exemplary party members of the month, and assigned tasks to party members.

In April, the Political Department Party Cell advised the Standing Committee and the Command to direct the organization to thoroughly and promptly disseminate and study the directives, resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee and all levels; Advised the organization of the regular Party Committee Conference, issued a Resolution to lead the implementation of key tasks in the second quarter of 2024.

The Political Department Party Cell has advised on organizing propaganda activities to prevent illegal immigration from Vietnam to Australia by boat; and to prevent illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing.

Advise on the effective implementation of personnel and policy work; advise and direct units to strengthen the protection of internal political work; widely propagate to the masses the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on the task of protecting border sovereignty and security.

The Party Committee has effectively led and directed the implementation of political and ideological education, raising awareness and responsibility of each cadre and Party member; strictly maintained the implementation of the Party Committee and Party cell's activities. Strictly followed the principles of Party organization and activities, especially the principles of democratic centralism, collective leadership, and individual responsibility. Maintained and well implemented the contents of registration to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; strengthened the inspection and supervision of Party members.

DO A GOOD JOB IN EDUCATION AND IDEOLOGICAL TRAINING FOR CADRES AND PARTY MEMBERS

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung assessed that the content of the meeting of the Political Department Party Cell was serious; the atmosphere was democratic, open, and in accordance with principles and regulations.

The Party cell secretary's management of the activities was clear, the activities were complete, of high quality, closely following the situation and assigned functions and tasks. Party members in the Party cell promoted their sense of responsibility, actively participated in expressing their opinions, many of which were of very good quality.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated the important core role of the Political Department Party Cell under the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee. In the past time, the Party Cell has performed its tasks well in the spirit of solidarity and high unity.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, he acknowledged, highly appreciated and warmly commended the results and achievements that the Political Department Party Cell and the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee have achieved in the past time.

Emphasizing that in recent times, the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security of the province has achieved many positive results, including many outstanding results, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the most typical result is the result of attracting FDI investment.

From an "unattractive" locality in terms of FDI attraction, in recent years, Nghe An has risen to become one of the localities with very good FDI attraction results, ranking 10th in 2022 and 8th in 2023 nationwide. This result is a combination of many factors, especially the key factor of local stability so that investors can feel secure coming to the province. Contributing to that result is the role of the Provincial Border Guard.

In order to create momentum for the province to achieve the goal of rapid, sustainable, breakthrough development, and soon become a well-off province in the country, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung said that the province is focusing on actively coordinating with central agencies to submit to the National Assembly a Resolution to pilot the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province at the 7th session. This is an important Resolution, creating motivation and resources for the development of the province in the coming period.

In addition, the province is focusing on implementing the Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; implementing 3 major projects: Project to expand administrative boundaries and urban space of Vinh city; Project to expand the Southeast Economic Zone; Project to arrange administrative units at district and commune levels for the 2023-2025 period.

Nghe An province is also focusing on implementing two strategic infrastructure projects: Cua Lo deep-water port construction investment project, Vinh International Airport renovation and upgrade project. In addition, the province is focusing on directing key national and provincial projects; promoting administrative reform, improving the investment environment to attract more projects.

Emphasizing the key tasks in the coming time for the Political Department Party Cell, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Party Cell to overcome shortcomings and limitations; continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the guidelines, policies and guidelines of the Party Committee, especially the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee, especially the direction of the Border Guard Command.

In particular, pay attention to continuing to seriously implement Directive No. 13 dated July 5, 2017 and Regulation No. 27 dated October 30, 2023 of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on assessing the quality of Party cell activities.

The Party cell of the Political Department needs to continue to research, regularly innovate content, improve the quality of activities to ensure compliance with regulations and instructions from superiors, suitable to the situation and characteristics of the unit, especially to do a good job of ideological education for cadres and party members; strictly implement the principles of party organization and activities, especially the principle of democratic centralism; pay attention to the work of educating, training and developing party members.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Party members in the Political Department to implement and uphold the exemplary role, especially comrades in the Party Committee; promptly pay attention to the thoughts and resolve the legitimate needs and aspirations of Party members.

On the other hand, continue to seriously and effectively implement the coordination regulations with localities on border work; build and have many pilot models, have many new ways of doing things, ensure real effectiveness, and regularly focus on building a great solidarity bloc.

The Political Department Party Cell needs to advise the Border Guard Party Committee to train officers and soldiers in a working style that is close to the people, respects the people, trusts the people, understands the people and listens to the people; continues to do a good job of advising on party work, political work, and personnel work for the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command; guides units in carrying out tasks, especially political work.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee to regularly pay attention to directing, monitoring, guiding, and inspecting the implementation of discipline and quality of Party cell activities; attach importance to the preliminary and final summaries, drawing lessons, promptly praising and replicating typical examples, and reminding units that have not performed well. Strictly assigning Party committee members to participate in internal Party cell activities.

At the end of the meeting, party members in the Political Department Party Cell unanimously approved the draft Resolution on leadership in implementing key tasks in May 2024; and conducted an assessment of the quality of Party cell activities according to regulations.
