According to RIA Novosti, House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor Greene said on social network X that the White House will continue to "pump" money into Kiev, because a peaceful solution to the conflict does not fit the plans of the US leadership.

"Their plan is to continue to fund a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine. And when that doesn't work, and they run out of Ukrainian soldiers, they'll bring in American troops," said House of Representatives member Greence.

The congressman added that House Speaker Mike Johnson "betrayed" Republicans when he approved the decision to allocate a $61 billion aid package to Kiev.

The United States approved a $61 billion aid package for Ukraine last week, ending six months of congressional gridlock and raising hopes in Kiev that its critically low artillery ammunition stocks will soon be replenished.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Kiev with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on April 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that small quantities of important US weapons were starting to arrive in Ukraine, but stressed that Washington needed to speed up the deliveries further.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed hope for dialogue with Russia to resolve the current conflict according to the basic principles of the United Nations Charter. That is, based on the factors: sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence.

Responding to this statement, the official spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova also reiterated that Russia has demonstrated its respect for international law by initiating the Minsk Agreements and consolidating them in the form of a UN Security Council resolution.

According to Ms. Maria Zakharova, it was the US that forced President Zelensky to ban Ukraine from negotiating with Russia./.
