Propagating the law through a mock trial attracts 1,000 students to participate
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 6, Nghia Dan District Youth Union coordinated with the Police, People's Court, People's Procuracy of Nghia Dan District and Co Do High School Youth Union to organize a mock trial to propagate and disseminate legal education in 2024 for more than 1,000 students.
Through the vivid and rich theatrical organization built through a short play recreating the situation of law violations related to social evils, especially the illegal possession of drugs, the trial analyzed the causes and consequences of the wrongdoings of the defendant Nguyen Van Nam, born in 2007, for the crime of illegal possession of drugs to make a decision on strict, reasonable and appropriate punishment. After the trial ended, the students participated in a game in the form of multiple choice questions to learn about the law on drug prevention and control.
Through the “Mock Trial”, the law has been disseminated and propagated, and ethics, personality and lifestyle education has been provided to students. In particular, in the current situation, drug abuse is becoming more and more complicated and is at risk of infiltrating and penetrating into schools. The “Mock Trial” has contributed to raising awareness among students about the harmful effects and serious consequences of drug use and regulations on criminal offenses, while helping them develop the necessary skills in drug prevention and control to prevent drug abuse from entering schools.
On this occasion, the People's Court and People's Procuracy of Nghia Dan district presented 17 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies./.
