Estonian President threatens Russia
Estonia will do everything possible to bring Russia to its knees, President Alar Karis said in an interview with the Finnish newspaper Yle.
Karis added that in his opinion, negotiations on Ukraine are possible only after Russia's military defeat. At the same time, Kiev does not need NATO troops on its territory now, but rather Western arms supplies, he said.
Russia believes that providing weapons to Ukraine hinders the resolution of the situation, directly draws NATO countries into the conflict and is "playing with fire".
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any shipment of weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia to attack.
According to him, the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict not only by supplying weapons but also through training Ukrainian personnel in the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries.
The Kremlin said that pumping Western weapons into Ukraine would not contribute to the negotiations and would have a negative impact.
