Japanese Yen exchange rate falls sharply to 4-week low
Today, the Japanese Yen exchange rate slid to a four-week low, and the black market Yen exchange rate also reversed and decreased slightly.
Japanese Yen exchange rates surveyed on the morning of May 30 at specific banks are as follows:
At Vietcombank, the Vietcombank Japanese Yen exchange rate is 156.84 VND/JPY for buying and 166 VND/JPY for selling, down 0.5 VND for buying and down 0.52 VND for selling.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.41 VND in buying and decreased by 1.34 VND in selling, equivalent to 158.38 VND/JPY and 166.33 VND/JPY.
At BIDV, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.21 VND in buying and 0.22 VND in selling, reaching 157.86 VND/JPY and 166.27 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Eximbank, the buying price decreased by 0.21 VND and the selling price decreased by 0.37 VND, respectively at 159.33 VND/JPY and 164.56 VND/JPY.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.34 VND in buying and decreased by 0.36 VND in selling, corresponding to the prices of 159.94 VND/JPY and 164.95 VND/JPY.
At HSBC, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.47 VND in buying and 0.5 VND in selling, respectively at 157.46 VND/JPY and 164.11 VND/JPY.
According to the survey, today Sacombank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and HSBC is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.
US Dollar Soars Above 105 Ahead of PCE Data Release
Today, VCB USD continued to decrease slightly by 3 VND in both buying and selling directions, while the world USD skyrocketed, surpassing the 105 point mark.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 24,253 VND/USD, down 3 VND compared to the trading session on May 29.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,450 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,450 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 25,235 and a selling price of 25,465, down 3 VND in both buying and selling compared to the trading session on May 29. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 24,000 - 25,500 VND/USD.
In the world market, the Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 105.12 points - up 0.47% compared to the transaction on May 29.
Domestic and world gold prices suddenly 'plummet'
Today, SJC gold reversed and decreased slightly by 200,000 VND per tael, bringing the price down to 90.3 million VND/tael, while world gold suddenly decreased sharply.

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 88.30 million VND/tael for buying and 89.90 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey listed the price of SJC gold at 88.30 - 89.80 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 88.00 - 89.80 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 88.40 - 90.00 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,337.45 USD/ounce, down 23.26 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 70.866 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 17.434 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
