Currently, the human living environment is facing many challenges; including environmental pollution from plastic waste. Vietnam is considered one of the countries with a high consumption of plastic in daily life such as plastic bags, plastic bottles, plastic cups, plastic bowls, plastic spoons, plastic straws, plastic toys, etc. These products are characterized by a long decomposition time, up to hundreds, thousands of years, affecting the land, water resources and natural ecosystems.

Especially when handled improperly, especially burning plastic waste, it will produce toxic substances such as dioxins and furans, which pollute the air, cause poisoning, affect the endocrine system, reduce immunity, cause cancer, etc.

Faced with the increasingly popular and increasing use of plastic products, with responsibility to the social community, in recent times, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has actively coordinated with departments, branches and localities to implement many movements and activities to limit the use of plastic bags, fight against plastic waste along with activities of sorting waste at source, planting trees, cleaning the environment, building models of "5 no, 3 clean"...
