Protecting your car's paint and keeping it looking new is an important part of car care.

Here are some simple ways to protect your car's paint that anyone can do.

Regularly clean and wash your car

When you use your car, you should proactively wash it and not wait until it gets too dirty to clean it. Because dirt or other compounds can damage the car's paint if left on for too long.

Note that soap will stick to the car body and paint surface if washed while the car is still hot. Absolutely do not use strong detergents such as bleach and do not use a pressure washer with too high pressure or hold it too close to wash because it will damage the car's paint.

Notes during car washing process

The car's paint is very easy to peel and scratch when exposed to high temperatures, so avoid washing the car under direct sunlight. This can easily leave marks on the car's paint surface because the metal on the car's body will quickly dry the soap when the car's body is hot, leading to the soap quickly sticking to the paint.

Use specialized soaps for car washing, use soft rags, avoid using rags with large particles that can scratch and peel the paint.

You should rinse the car with water and spray water thoroughly in every corner before using specialized soap to clean and avoid rubbing hard when wiping.

Polishing and using clear coat properly

Polishing your car with clear paint is not recommended to be done regularly because although it makes your car look newer and brighter, it can also easily damage the original paint layer.

Many car clear coats contain highly abrasives that, after repeated use, will wear away the protective layer in the paint finish, causing the color to fade quickly. Therefore, if you use it, you should choose the least abrasive clear coat possible.

You can also choose a specialized wax for polishing cars but still protect your car's paint, this is an advantage of this product because it does not contain abrasives.

Using the wrong car towel

This is the reason why the car body has circular scratches around the body of the car. When holding the towel, it feels quite soft, however, most of the normal microfiber towels have large fibers, which are very likely to leave scratches.

The best solution is to buy a specialized car cleaning towel with super absorbent properties, quick drying thanks to being made from synthetic fiber fabric that helps clean, does not rot, does not scratch the surface and does not harden after use.

Avoid spilling gasoline

Filling the tank full of gas sometimes happens, at this time the gas will quickly penetrate deep into the paint surface causing significant damage.

Or drinks spilled on the car can easily fade the paint. If you accidentally encounter the above cases, you should water and dry immediately.

Avoid leaving your car in the sun regularly.

You should make the most of the shade if you have to stop or park somewhere because the sun contains a very strong amount of ultraviolet rays that reduce the paint on the car's body's ability to "stick". This is also the main cause of damage to the car's paint.
