Partnership documents

A new document has been drafted, which will serve as a framework for future relations between the two countries.

"Today, a new fundamental document has been prepared, which will lay the foundation for our long-term relationship."

Interaction between the two countries is based on the principles of equality and respect for each other's interests.

"Russia and the DPRK have been bound by close friendship and good neighborliness for many decades."

On historical relationships

The exploits of previous generations are a “good foundation” for promoting relations between Russia and North Korea. For example, in 1945, Soviet soldiers fought side by side with patriotic Koreans to liberate the Korean Peninsula.

“Our pilots carried out tens of thousands of combat missions during the 1950-1953 liberation war.”

In addition, Russia has been struggling for decades with the "hegemonic policy, imperialist politics of the United States and its satellites" imposed.

North Korea's support

Moscow appreciated Pyongyang's "consistent and continuous support" for Russia's policy, including on the Ukraine issue.

next meeting

Pyongyang has changed in the past 24 years.

“The changes in Pyongyang since my last visit in 2000 are remarkable.”

This city became very beautiful thanks to the efforts of the Korean people.

Another meeting between the two leaders may take place in the Russian capital.

"I hope that the next meeting will be held in Russia, in Moscow."
