Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy visited and presented gifts to policy families and meritorious people in Tan Ky district.
On July 19, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and presented gifts to policy families and outstanding people with revolutionary contributions in Tan Ky district.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Nguyen Dinh Hung - Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Bui Thanh Bao - Secretary of Tan Ky District Party Committee; representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
The Provincial Party Secretary visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Hoang Van Bay (born in 1954), a 1/4 class disabled veteran, and Mrs. Thai Thi Nga (born in 1951), a 4/4 class disabled veteran in Tan Tien hamlet, Ky Tan commune.

Mr. Hoang Van Bay is from Thanh My commune, Thanh Chuong district. He enlisted in the army in 1972 and was injured on May 1, 1972 at the Southern front with a disability rate of 81%.
Returning to the Nursing Center in Tan Ky district at that time, he met Mrs. Thai Thi Nga, also a war invalid, and her family came to build a new economy and they became husband and wife.

Overcoming his disability and hardship, he and his wife have built a new, stable life in their second homeland, Tan Ky, and raised their children to adulthood. They have 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys, all of whom are currently working in the Education and Police sectors, and currently have 10 grandchildren.

Meeting and talking with the disabled couple Hoang Van Bay and Thai Thi Nga, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy expressed his deep gratitude for their contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation and reunification; when returning to peacetime life, they made efforts to build their lives, always complying with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.



Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy hopes that he, his wife and family will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, take care of their health, encourage their children and grandchildren to continue working, studying well, and contributing to building their homeland and the country; at the same time, he requested that local Party committees and authorities continue to pay attention to and care for policy families and people with revolutionary contributions, contributing to ensuring social security in the area, demonstrating the morality of "remembering the source of the water we drink" of our nation.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary presented gifts to 20 policy families and outstanding meritorious people in Tan Ky district and donated 2.5 billion VND from the program "mobilizing support for building and repairing houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances in Nghe An province" to support the construction of 50 houses.
