Meet the talented female student from the tea land
“The Academy of Journalism and Propaganda has long been my dream. I hope to become a new student of the school I love,” Nguyen Tai Phuong Dung, a student at Dang Thai Mai High School (Thanh Chuong), shared after learning her exam results.
These days, the house of Nguyen Tai Phuong Dung's family in Xi Nghiep hamlet, Thanh Mai commune (Thanh Chuong) seems happier because the youngest daughter achieved a high score in the National High School Graduation Exam. With a score of 28.1 for group D (Math 9, Literature 9.5, English 9.6), Dung became one of the candidates with the 5th highest score in group D in the province.

According to Dung, right from the time she passed the high school entrance exam, she focused on studying block A, but after studying for a while, because she realized she was good at Literature and English, she switched to studying block D.
“I had a foundation in English since middle school, so when I got to high school, I was relatively good at this subject, so I didn’t have to worry much. Of the 3 subjects in block D, Literature and English are my strengths, so I was quite confident when taking the exam.”

Regarding the admission score for block D, Dung said: “I am satisfied with the score I achieved. It accurately reflects my academic ability in each subject. When I finished the exam, I thought I would get about 27+ points for the 3 subjects in block D, but the result was 28.1 points, I am very happy.”
When the exam results were known, teachers and classmates were not surprised by Dung's achievements. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - homeroom teacher of class 12A, who is also Dung's Math teacher, said: Nguyen Tai Phuong Dung is a good, hard-working, and sociable student. During her studies in class, she actively interacted and cooperated with teachers and classmates. Dung was at the top of the class in Math. During her review time at school, she only studied Math and Literature, and she studied English at home.

Dung is the youngest of two children. Her father used to grow tea and is now a carpenter and aluminum and glass worker. Her mother is a kindergarten teacher. Dung's older sister graduated from Hanoi University of Architecture.
Growing up in a studious family, Dung was quite diligent, hardworking and had an early spirit of independence. Dung's diligence was shared by her father: Dung was studious, and when she came home she would sit at her desk to study. Many nights she studied too late, causing her parents to have to remind her.

Dung still remembers clearly, in the first years of secondary school, the house was 5 km from school, the little student still went to class by herself every day on a rickety bicycle. Later, when her mother changed her bicycle, she was able to ride an electric bicycle.
My house is near Ho Chi Minh road, far from Dang Thai Mai High School. For 3 years of high school, every day to go to class, I had to travel 18 km round trip.
With her own diligence and efforts, during her studies, Dung has achieved some remarkable achievements: Second prize for excellent students in the district in Literature, Encouragement prize for excellent students in the district in English in grade 9; Third prize for excellent students in the province in Literature in grade 12.
In particular, the admission score for block D is in the top 5 provinces in the 2024 National High School Graduation Exam.

Sharing about her study methods, Dung said that to study well, one needs to be self-disciplined, proactive, and seek out knowledge. Studying block D is a bit more complicated than studying in natural sciences or social sciences. In addition to studying at school, she often reads books and goes online to improve her knowledge.
I consider the internet and social networks to be effective learning channels. I find Literature easier. During my review time, I read and write a lot.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van - Dung's mother could not hide her pride: "During her studies, her parents always cared and favored her so that she could focus on her studies. Currently, we only give advice and guidance, but which school to choose for admission is up to her to decide."

Dung said that at this time, she is struggling with choosing a career and a school, but the school she has long cherished is the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda.
Good academic performance, along with diligence and confidence, will be a potential starting point on the path to success for this tea land female student with many dreams and ambitions.
