Goalkeeper who used to play for Song Lam Nghe An has his contract extended
On its homepage, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club announced that goalkeeper Phan Dinh Vu Hai will stay at Pleiku Stadium until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
In the early stages of last season, under the guidance of coach Kiatisuk, Phan Dinh Vu Hai was the number 1 goalkeeper of the mountain town team, with 5 appearances in the goal. Objectively, the former goalkeeper born in 1994 has excellently completed the assigned task.
However, after coach Vu Tien Thanh appeared and Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club borrowed goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung from Hanoi Police, Phan Dinh Vu Hai's familiar position was on the bench. To be fair, Bui Tien Dung played very impressively.
It was thought that at the end of the 2023/2024 season, Phan Dinh Vu Hai would have to pack his bags and leave Pleiku Stadium, but the unexpected happened. Most likely, Bui Tien Dung's "reunion" with Ho Chi Minh City Club forced the mountain town team to keep Phan Dinh Vu Hai, alongside two young goalkeepers, Duong Van Loi and Tran Trung Kien.
It is known that Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club is paying attention to Patrik Le Giang. If the Pleiku team successfully recruits the Slovakian goalkeeper of Vietnamese origin, the chance for Phan Dinh Vu Hai next season will be very slim. However, Patrik Le Giang is also considered to be more highly ranked.
In the past, Phan Dinh Vu Hai played for Hai Phong, Song Lam Nghe An, Than Quang Ninh and Long An. It is worth remembering that in the 2018 season, Phan Dinh Vu Hai contributed to helping Song Lam Nghe An finish 4th in the V.League and win the Bronze Medal in the National Cup./.
