The refusal to grant Russian journalists access to the Olympic Games in Paris can only be condemned, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

Paris (France).

"This can only be harshly condemned," Mr. Peskov told reporters in response to the corresponding question.

Refusal to issue such a permit clearly demonstrates the attitude of the French authorities towards Russians, the Kremlin representative added.

“This clearly demonstrates the attitude of the French authorities towards our people,” Mr. Peskov told journalists.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) should condemn the French government's decision to refuse to grant permission for Russian journalists to cover the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"The International Olympic Committee, which distributes the certificates, should condemn this behavior of the host country. This type of behavior hardly corresponds to the ideas of Olympicism," Peskov told reporters, commenting on the French authorities' refusal to recognize a number of Russian journalists to cover the Olympic Games in Paris.
