Former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder Nguyen Cong Manh becomes assistant to coach Hoang Anh Tuan
In preparation for the 2024/2025 season, Becamex Binh Duong has welcomed a series of quality new recruits, including coach Nguyen Cong Manh.
As a product of Song Lam Nghe An, Nguyen Cong Manh is from the same generation as Duong Hong Son, Pham Hai Nam, Phan Thanh Hoan, Chu Ngoc Canh - coach of Kon Tum. During his playing days, Nguyen Cong Manh played for Song Lam Nghe An, Hoa Phat Ha Noi and Binh Dinh.
After retiring from the football field, Nguyen Cong Manh has participated in coaching courses of the Asian Football Confederation - AFC over the years. Currently, Nguyen Cong Manh has been granted a Pro certificate by AFC. This is a certificate that some coaches currently working in the V.League cannot obtain.
As a coach, Nguyen Cong Manh spent 5 years as an assistant to coach Pham Minh Duc and coach Nguyen Thanh Cong at Hanoi B and Hong Linh Ha Tinh. The former midfielder of Song Lam Nghe An is highly regarded by "industry insiders" for his expertise.
Therefore, it is not by chance that Nguyen Cong Manh was recruited by Becamex Binh Duong. It should be noted that at the 2024 U23 Asian Cup, Nguyen Cong Manh was one of the assistants of coach Hoang Anh Tuan at U23 Vietnam.
