Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee meets with agencies of Internal Affairs Bloc
On the morning of July 30, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with agencies in the Internal Affairs Bloc.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired and directed the meeting.
Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Ho Le Ngoc - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Le Hong Vinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Party committees, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial People's Committee Office, and agencies in the Internal Affairs Bloc.
Maintain stability in the area
General assessment of the activities of agencies in the Internal Affairs Bloc in July shows that the political security situation and social order and safety in the area are basically stable.

The armed forces strictly maintain combat readiness, coordinate to grasp the situation, ensure security and order. Proactively detect and advise on handling arising incidents, not allowing security and order complications to occur.
The authorities have launched a campaign to synchronously implement preventive measures, combat, crack down on, and strictly handle all types of crimes and social evils. Investigation, prosecution, and trial of cases continue to be focused on by the prosecution agencies.

During the month, authorities discovered 87 cases, 110 subjects transporting, storing, buying, selling, and organizing illegal use of drugs, seizing 9.57 kg of heroin, 41.6 grams and 17,675 synthetic drug pills, 5.04 kg of crystal meth, and 40 grams of marijuana.
Regarding corruption and position crimes, the authorities have prosecuted 1 case, 3 defendants for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties", "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences", occurring at the Center for Nursing People with Meritorious Services to the Revolution in Nghe An province, initially clarifying the damage of about 2.5 billion VND; prosecuted 1 more defendant for the crime of "Giving bribes" occurring at the People's Committee of Cua Lo town.

The authorities have discovered and arrested 15 cases and 104 subjects, investigated and prosecuted 14 cases and 102 subjects, with gambling in the form of football betting on the internet emerging; 1 case and 2 subjects chose to appropriate property online.

Sectors in the Internal Affairs Sector have actively implemented the sector's 2024 work program, continued to improve the organizational structure, and built a team of cadres with sufficient professional capacity and political qualities to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Party committees and authorities at all levels pay attention to the work of receiving citizens, handling petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections from citizens according to regulations (especially the cases of complaints from households related to compensation and site clearance for National Highway 1A).

The work of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud, trade in counterfeit, banned and poor quality goods, and food hygiene and safety has been promoted; the enforcement of civil judgments has seen many positive changes; measures for fire prevention, fire fighting, search and rescue have been promptly deployed.
Ready forces and means for disaster prevention, search and rescue
In August, the Provincial Party Standing Committee requested that the armed forces maintain combat readiness, coordinate with local authorities to organize patrols and control to protect border and island sovereignty, ensure national security, and social order and safety in the area.

Direct localities to focus on preparing and organizing defense zone drills according to plan. Prepare forces and means for disaster prevention, search and rescue.
Strengthening the work of grasping the situation, ensuring security in specific fields and areas; ensuring absolute safety for important events of the province, high-ranking delegations of the Party, State, and international guests visiting and working in Nghe An.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also requested to continue to promptly handle and resolve complex, outstanding issues of public concern.
Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to do a good job of receiving citizens, having direct dialogues and handling citizens' feedback and recommendations. Focus on handling and effectively resolving complex issues right at the grassroots level, avoiding being passive or surprised.

Strengthen the fight against and suppress all types of crimes and law violations, especially crimes against social order, economic and environmental crimes, drug crimes, high-tech crimes, and online fraud; strengthen market management; forest protection, fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and relief; promptly coordinate to strictly handle acts of transporting and trading in counterfeit and poor-quality goods, and violations of food hygiene and safety...

Coordinate and effectively implement the work of detecting, transferring, receiving, classifying, and handling crime reports and denunciations, recommending prosecution, arrest, and investigation and handling of crimes... Strengthen the work of detecting and handling corruption and negativity through inspection, supervision, investigation, and handling of denunciations; strengthen the recovery of lost and misappropriated assets in corruption, economic, and negativity cases.

Focus on resolving and removing difficulties and obstacles in cases under the supervision and direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee. In these cases, maintain the order and effectiveness of the Provincial Steering Committee's operations. Develop a plan for internal affairs to protect Party Congresses at all levels and the 20th Provincial Party Congress.
