Pig price today August 4: Between 61,000 - 66,000 VND/kg

In the Northern market
This week, the live hog market in the Northern region recorded slight price fluctuations, with an insignificant increase or decrease of VND 1,000/kg in some localities.
Bac Giang and Hung Yen provinces have adjusted the price of live pigs to 66,000 VND/kg, marking the highest price in the region after a slight increase.
On the contrary, Thai Binh has slightly reduced the price of live pigs to 65,000 VND/kg.
Traders in other northern provinces continued to maintain stable prices for live pigs throughout the past week, without recording any significant changes.
In the Central Highlands market
Last week, the Central and Central Highlands markets recorded a slight decrease in live pig prices, with a decrease of 1,000 to 2,000 VND per kilogram. Specifically:
Pig prices in Quang Nam and Lam Dong both decreased by VND1,000/kg, down to VND62,000/kg and VND64,000/kg.
Binh Dinh witnessed a deeper decrease of VND2,000/kg, placing the price of live pigs at the lowest level in the region, only VND61,000/kg.
Other provinces and cities in the region have no price changes, remaining stable compared to the beginning of the week.
Currently, the price of live pigs fluctuates between 61,000 and 64,000 VND/kg in the Central and Central Highlands provinces.
In the Southern market
In the Southern region, the purchase price of live pigs fluctuates unstably, with a difference of 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg.
Dong Nai recorded a sharp decrease of 2,000 VND/kg, setting the price of live pigs at 64,000 VND/kg.
Four provinces and cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Vung Tau and Dong Thap all decreased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg, bringing the price to about 63,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.
In contrast, An Giang witnessed a slight increase of VND1,000/kg, with the current price of live pigs at VND65,000/kg.
Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the South is fluctuating from 62,000 to 65,000 VND/kg.
