Two drug-using drivers fined 70 million VND
Two men in Nghe An were fined 70 million VND for driving while under the influence of drugs.
On August 1, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh signed a Decision to administratively sanction Mr. TVN (born in 1985), residing in Block 3, Kim Son town, Que Phong district and Mr. TVT (born in 1995), residing in Quang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

The penalty decision clearly states that Mr. TVN drove a car with license plate 37B-029.xx, and Mr. TVT drove a car with license plate 37K-061.xx on the road while having drugs in their bodies (body test results were positive for drugs).
Accordingly, Mr. TVN and Mr. TVT were each fined VND 35 million; as prescribed in Point c, Clause 10, Article 5, Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 of the Government; Clause 4, Article 23, Law on Handling of Administrative Violations (amended and supplemented in 2020).
At the same time, both cases had their driving licenses revoked (class E for Mr. TVN and class B2 for Mr. TVT) for 23 months from the effective date of this Decision.
