More and more people are living to 100 years old thanks to advances in medicine, but not everyone lives a healthy life. Therefore, practice these simple things to improve your health and vitality.

Have breakfast

According toWebMDThis is important for several reasons. It boosts metabolism and prevents you from overeating throughout the day. Additionally, studies show that adults who eat a healthy breakfast perform better at work, and children who eat breakfast score higher on tests.

If you don't feel like eating a large plate right away, snack on a granola bar or a piece of fruit; don't skip the meal.

According to the National Institute of Nutrition (Ministry of Health), normally we need to eat three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. After eating, food enters the stomach, where it is mixed with digestive enzymes thanks to the contractions of the stomach. Part of the food is digested in the stomach and then passes into the small intestine.

The time food stays in the stomach depends on age, gender, physical activity, psychological state, etc., but it mainly depends on the chemical nature of the food. Carbohydrates remain in the stomach for an average of 4 hours, proteins for 6 hours, and lipids for 8 hours.

After a night's rest, the stomach is empty, so skipping breakfast is not good because the minimum fasting period from dinner to the next morning is 10 hours. The stomach always contracts whether there is food in it or not.

When the stomach contracts without food, it negatively affects the stomach and causes a gnawing sensation. At the same time, when excessively hungry, low blood sugar levels can lead to fatigue and reduced work productivity.

Therefore, we shouldn't skip breakfast and let our bodies get too hungry, and we shouldn't overeat at other meals either; three meals a day is reasonable.

Plan your meals.

In the long run, this will save you time and money. Take the time, then sit down and consider your goals and needs. Do you want to lose weight? Cut back on sugar, fat, or carbohydrates? Meal preparation gives you control. You know what you're eating and when.

Another advantage is that it will help you avoid being tempted by donuts in the office break room.

Drink plenty of water.

This can offer you many benefits. Staying hydrated is paramount, but it can also help you lose weight. Another reason to drink water is that sugary drinks are linked to obesity and type 2 diabetes. If you don't like plain water, add flavor with slices of orange, lemon, watermelon, or cucumber.

Recent research from the U.S. National Institutes of Health indicates that not drinking enough water can cause you to age faster than your biological age.

Decreased hydration levels have been shown to accelerate biological aging regardless of age over time, with age being measured in years since birth. Simultaneously, you are also more susceptible to chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, and dementia.

Rest before exercising.

Don't just grab another cup of coffee; get up and move around. You could do some exercises called deep lunges (focusing on the thigh and glute muscles) or stretching. This is great for both your body and your mind.

In addition, simply walking for 30 minutes five times a week can help you ward off sadness. And if you can't do it all at once, shorter workouts are also helpful.

Reduce the time you spend using your phone and computer to socialize with friends.

Do you frequently check your email and Facebook? If so, set aside time so you're not glued to your phone or computer.

When you cut down on the time you spend using these devices, you'll have free hands to do other things. Go for a walk, read a book, help your parents prepare dinner, socialize with friends...

Learn something new

New skills help keep your brain healthy. You could sign up for a dance class or learn to draw. Even better, master a new language. Mental activity can slow the signs of aging and may even delay the effects of Alzheimer's disease.

Don't smoke.

If you smoke, quit. It's a huge step toward better health. Your body recovers quickly. Just 20 minutes after your last cigarette, your heart rate and blood pressure will drop. So quit this habit today.

Good night

There are too many benefits to list. A good night's sleep improves your mood, enhances memory and concentration, and helps you learn new things. In the long run, it reduces the risk of heart disease and helps you stay fit.

Aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. For the best sleep, maintain a consistent bedtime and wake-up time each day.

Muscle training

Strength training helps your body convert fat into muscle mass. This means you'll burn more calories even when you're just lounging on the couch. But these exercises can also help you lose weight, strengthen your heart, and build bone.

You should do strength training exercises, such as push-ups and weightlifting, at least twice a week.

Take a walk outdoors

A few minutes in the sun helps increase vitamin D levels, which is great for your bones, heart, and mood. Plus, being outdoors means you're more likely to move your body than sitting in front of a TV or computer.

If possible, choose nature over the streets. One study found that people who walk in green spaces in urban areas are calmer than those who walk in crowded areas.

Maintain balance

If you're young and active, good balance will help you avoid injury. If you're older, it will help you stay active longer and reduce your risk of falls and fractures. Regardless of your age, good balance means better muscle tone, a healthier heart, and more confidence.

Yoga and Tai Chi are great ways to practice this, but anything that gets you moving, even walking, can help.

Practice mindfulness

You could be meditating or simply stopping to smell roses while strolling. Whatever you do, studies show that mindfulness helps reduce stress, lessen pain, and improve mood. And scientists are beginning to understand the connection.

A study has found that eight weeks of regular meditation can change parts of the brain associated with emotions, learning, and memory.
