Up to this point in the 2024 summer transfer window, Atletico Madrid has successfully signed a number of high-quality stars.

It can be said that coach Diego Simeone and his team did not have a truly successful 2023/2024 season. Not only did they fail to win any domestic trophies, but Atletico Madrid were also eliminated in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, losing to Borussia Dortmund with a 4-5 aggregate score.

Therefore, the Atletico Madrid management immediately implemented a plan to strengthen the team by bringing in outstanding players. Specifically, Robin Le Normand, Conor Galleghe, Alexander Sorlth, and Julian Alvarez have all become players under coach Diego Simeone.

To secure the services of the four aforementioned stars, Atletico Madrid had to spend a total of over 200 million Euros. Throughout its history, the team nicknamed Colchoneros has never spent so much. This clearly shows just how ambitious Atletico Madrid is for the upcoming season.

Atletico Madrid's goal for the 2024/2025 season is to reclaim the La Liga title after two consecutive seasons under the ownership of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Even in the past season, coach Diego Simeone's team finished in fourth place, behind even the "tiny" team Girona.

Besides La Liga, the team at the Metropolitano Stadium will also be determined to win the UEFA Champions League, where they have reached the final twice and lost both times to Real Madrid. Certainly, coach Diego Simeone and his players will do their utmost to claim the "big-eared trophy".

With the arrival of formidable new signings, Diego Simeone's team will be a formidable obstacle for any opponent. It seems the title race in La Liga 2024/2025 will be incredibly dramatic and exciting, given Atletico Madrid's transformation.
