Opening of the photo exhibition 'Thanh Chuong - Land and People'

On the morning of August 10th, at the center of Thanh Chuong district (Nghe An province), the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district organized the opening of the photo exhibition "Thanh Chuong - Land and People".

Representatives from the editorial board of Photography and Life magazine attended the opening ceremony.

Representing Nghe An province were leaders from the Provincial Journalists Association, the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts, leaders from Thanh Chuong district, and a large number of local residents.

In his opening remarks at the exhibition, Mr. Tran Duy Ngoan, Head of the North Central Region Representative Office of Photography and Life Magazine, stated: On the occasion of the 555th anniversary of the name Thanh Chuong (1469-2024), the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district, in coordination with Photography and Life Magazine's North Central Region branch, organized a creative writing and exhibition campaign to promote the image of Thanh Chuong's land and people in the process of renovation, integration, and development, with the theme "Thanh Chuong: Land and People".

Thanh Chuong District, located in the southwest of Nghe An Province, is a land of picturesque and poetic natural beauty. Throughout history, the people of Thanh Chuong have always been hardworking, resilient, courageous, intelligent, creative, loyal, and full of affection. This land, which values ​​teachers and learning, has produced many famous generals, virtuous officials, scientists, and entrepreneurs… a land of exceptional people and rich history.

In the process of reform initiated and led by the Party, overcoming numerous difficulties and challenges, Thanh Chuong has made steady progress. With its own internal strength, along with state investment in many fields and the support of its patriotic sons and daughters who cherish their roots, Thanh Chuong has laid the foundation for a new vision and aspiration for prosperity.

The exhibition "Thanh Chuong: Land and People" showcases 124 documentary and artistic photographs about the land and people of Thanh Chuong in the process of development and integration; these are documentary and newly created photographs (including 40 individual photographs and 84 photo series, totaling 550 images), arranged into four sections: "Memories of Thanh Chuong", "Returning to the Heritage Region", "Thanh Chuong: A Tourist Destination", and "Thanh Chuong: Innovation and Development".

The photo exhibition is an opportunity to recall the glorious traditions and pride of our heroic, revolutionary Soviet homeland throughout history. It aims to awaken resources, provide new strength, and successfully implement the reform and international integration initiated and led by our Party; and to resolutely build Thanh Chuong into an increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized city.

The exhibition will take place over two days, from August 10-11, 2024.
