According to RIA Novosti on August 13, US Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal said that Ukraine needs to join NATO this year and called on allied countries to send appropriate invitations to Kiev.

The senators expressed confidence that further assistance to Ukraine would meet the fundamental interests of the United States. In this regard, the lawmakers promised to do “everything possible” to ensure the allocation of additional military assistance to Kiev.

"In addition, under the leadership of Senator Blumenthal, we will introduce the Stand With Ukraine Act when the US Senate convenes in September. This bipartisan initiative is designed to codify the bilateral security agreement that the Joe Biden administration and Ukraine reached in July," the US lawmakers said.

Not only that, during a recent visit to Kiev, US Senator Lindsey Graham also praised Ukrainian President Zelensky for the attack on Russia's Kursk region. "After 2.5 years, you continue to hold your position and you have also penetrated into Russia. This is brave and wonderful," Mr. Graham said.

In Russia, the country's Interior Ministry has put US Senator Lindsey Graham on the wanted list for his statements on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
