Rice price today August 14: Increased across the board
Rice prices today, August 14: Increased across both domestic and export markets. Domestic prices increased sharply by 300 - 900 VND/kg for paddy, rice prices increased slightly by 50 VND/kg. In the export market, rice prices increased across all markets by 5 - 8 USD/ton.
On August 14, rice prices in the Mekong Delta witnessed a significant increase for some types of rice, specifically a slight increase of VND 50/kg for IR 504 raw rice.
The price of IR 504 Summer-Autumn raw rice increased by VND 50/kg, reaching VND 11,600 - 11,700/kg, while the price of IR 504 finished rice remained stable at VND 13,600 - 13,700/kg.
At retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged, with Nang Nhen rice having the highest price of VND30,000/kg, followed by Jasmine rice at VND18,000 - VND20,000/kg, and other types of rice priced from VND15,000/kg to VND22,000/kg.

Limited rice supply leads to high prices and reduced demand. IR 50404 increased by VND300/kg, Dai Thom 8 increased by VND400-700/kg, and OM 5451 increased by VND800-900/kg.
Rice prices from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province show adjustments in rice prices compared to yesterday, with increases from VND300/kg to VND900/kg for different types of rice.
The glutinous rice market has no price changes, with IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) stable at 7,500 - 7,800 VND/kg, Long An glutinous rice (fresh) 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg, and An Giang glutinous rice (fresh) 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg.
The price of OM 5451 broken rice by-product today ranges from 9,400 to 9,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. The price of dry bran remains stable, at 7,250 to 7,350 VND/kg.
In the international market, Vietnam's rice export prices witnessed a significant increase compared to yesterday.
According to the Vietnam Food Association, the price of 100% broken rice is currently $440 per ton, up $5 per ton. The price of standard 5% broken rice is stable at $570 per ton, up $8 per ton. The price of 25% broken rice is currently $536 per ton, up $7 per ton.
