Britain wants to convince allies to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow to attack Russia
British ministers are trying to convince allies to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles supplied to it to attack Russian territory, the British Times reported.

"Behind the scenes, ministers are trying to convince allies to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles inside Russian territory. Countries do not want to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons that could theoretically strike Russian cities and villages because of the risk of escalating tensions," the newspaper wrote.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin said that Russia was proceeding from the initial position of the British side on Ukraine's use of Storm Shadow missiles, which it announced in May 2023 - when London allowed Kiev to use them within the "internationally recognized" territory of Ukraine.
The head of the Russian diplomatic mission noted that statements by British officials about Kiev's use of Storm Shadow missiles delivered to the country are, as a rule, very vague. The diplomat said that this allows the media to interpret them in different ways.
