The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province congratulates the Executive Board of the Buddhist Association of the province on the occasion of the Vu Lan filial piety season.
On the afternoon of August 16th, a delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations, led by Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, visited and congratulated the Executive Board of the Provincial Buddhist Association on the occasion of the Vu Lan Festival (Buddhist calendar 2568).
The delegation included the Vice Chairpersons of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee: Nguyen Duc Thanh and Tran Thi Thu Huong; and representatives from the following organizations: the Provincial Labor Union, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Veterans' Association, and the Provincial Youth Union.
The delegation was received by Venerable Thich Tho Lac, Standing Member of the Executive Council and Head of the Central Committee for Culture.Vietnamese Buddhist ChurchNam, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Buddhist Association of Nghe An Province.
According to Vo Thi Minh Sinh, Chairwoman of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Vu Lan filial piety season in the Buddhist calendar year 2568 is very special, as the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has just successfully concluded its 2019-2024 term in all fields and is entering a new term from 2024-2029.
These achievements are largely due to the contributions of member organizations and the support and guidance of the Executive Board of the Nghe An Provincial Buddhist Association, under the leadership of Venerable Thich Tho Lac; as well as the contributions of venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers.
On the occasion of the Vu Lan Festival in 2024 (Buddhist calendar 2568), on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh respectfully thanked Venerable Thich Tho Lac for his companionship and sharing with the Provincial Fatherland Front and its member organizations throughout the past term; wishing the Venerable good health, peace, and continued collaboration with the Fatherland Front and its member organizations in their activities.
On behalf of the Executive Board of the Provincial Buddhist Association, Venerable Thich Tho Lac expressed deep gratitude to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations, and expressed confidence that the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations will achieve even greater accomplishments in the new term.
Venerable Thich Tho Lac, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Association, affirmed that the Provincial Buddhist Association will continue to cooperate with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, member organizations, and Party committees and authorities at all levels in activities, working together to build a more prosperous, peaceful, and happy homeland and country.
