Gold price today, August 20: Domestic gold price skyrocketed by 1 million VND
The domestic gold price today, August 20, 2024, skyrocketed by 1 million VND in both directions. Meanwhile, the international gold price increased rapidly.
Domestic gold price on August 20, gold ring price was stable while SJC gold bar price suddenly increased by 1 million VND in both directions. At the time of survey at 12:00 on August 20, 2024, gold price on the trading floor of some companies was as follows:
Specifically, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) and DOJI Jewelry Group both announced the selling price of SJC gold bars at 79-81 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 1 million VND in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous session's close.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey listed the price of SJC gold at 80-81 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 79-81 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 79-81 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out).
Notably, today's increase pushed the price of gold bars to a 2.5-month high of VND81 million/tael - the highest since the State Bank began selling gold directly to people through SJC Company and Big4 banks.
