Pepper price today August 22, 2024 is in the range of 140,000-143,500 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,000 to 2,500 compared to yesterday. This is the 4th consecutive day that pepper price has increased with the highest increase of 7,000 VND.

Domestic pepper price on August 22, 2024

Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 143,500 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,500 VND compared to yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 140,000 VND/kg. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 142,000 VND/kg, a slight increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 141,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 141,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

This is the fourth consecutive day that domestic pepper prices have increased, with the highest increase of VND7,000 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. On the contrary, Gia Lai has the lowest price increase of VND3,500. Dak Lak is the province with the highest pepper price in the country, with an increase of VND6,500 in the past four days.

According to VSPA, the 52nd International Pepper Community (IPC) Annual Conference will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from November 18-21, 2024.

Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), an active member of IPC, will participate in the IPC Conference with leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

World pepper price today

Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,525 USD/ton (up 0.71%), and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,861 USD/ton (up 0.71%).

The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper decreased to USD 6,175/ton (down 0.64%). The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,500/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,400/ton.

Vietnam's black pepper price remains at a high level of 5,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,200 USD/ton; white pepper price at 8,500 USD/ton.

Recently, domestic and international pepper prices have increased sharply due to high demand and new EU regulations on the origin of agricultural products.

World pepper market prices are stable in India and Sri Lanka, increasing in Indonesia.

Experts predict pepper prices will continue to rise, especially before the new harvest season.
