According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,498.96 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 26.9 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,420 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 77.05 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.94 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

According to CNN, gold prices are currently at a record high, with a 400-ounce gold bar worth more than $1 million.
Gold prices have surged more than 20% this year, driven largely by expectations that the US Federal Reserve will cut interest rates in September, along with increased central bank buying and safe-haven demand due to tensions in the Middle East.
The Fed is expected to cut interest rates by 25 basis points at each of its remaining policy meetings in 2024, although experts surveyed by Reuters said the US economy is unlikely to fall into recession.
Ole Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank, said the Fed's decision to cut interest rates will depend on upcoming economic data.
