On the morning of August 24 (July 21, Giap Thin year), at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, Kim Lien Special National Relic Site, Nghe An province solemnly held a memorial ceremony on the occasion of the 55th death anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (July 21, Ky Dau year 1969 - July 21, Giap Thin year 2024).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of departments, agencies, localities and a large number of people from all walks of life. On the side of Military Region 4, there was the participation of Colonel Pham Van Dong - Deputy Chief of Politics and members of the delegation.
55 years ago, at 9:47 a.m. on September 2, 1969 (July 21, Ky Dau year), our beloved Uncle Ho passed away. The Vietnamese people lost an outstanding communist soldier who fought tirelessly for the revolutionary movement all his life.

His passing leaves behind endless sorrow for the entire Party, the entire people and friends around the world. More than half a century has passed, but in the hearts of every Vietnamese person, Uncle Ho is always there, and we always miss him immensely.
The memorial service on the 55th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's death is an extremely special occasion to remember him, review his life, career, merits and great contributions to the country and homeland; at the same time, it is also an opportunity to continue to remind everyone to better implement his sacred Testament.

During his life of revolutionary activities full of hardships and sacrifices, he always devoted all his mind and health to the revolutionary cause; but wherever he was, whatever he did, in whatever circumstances, his homeland Nghe An, his homeland Nam Dan, was always dearly missed, always in his heart, and always filled with a deep concern and affection.

Uncle Ho's last wish for his compatriots and comrades in the province was to "strive to make Nghe An quickly become one of the most prosperous provinces in the North". He hoped that Nam Dan would become a "model" district and Kim Lien would become a "model" commune.

Realizing his wishes, over the past 55 years, the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province in general and Nam Dan district in particular have made constant efforts to implement Uncle Ho's Testament, promoted the strength of great solidarity, rose up to overcome all difficulties, enthusiastically participated in contributing human and material resources to the resistance war against foreign invaders, protecting and building the country, actively innovating and building the homeland, striving to rise up and have achieved outstanding results in all fields.
From a locality still facing many difficulties, Nghe An province has now achieved many good aspects. Nam Dan district has 15 communes meeting the Advanced New Rural standards, 7 communes meeting the Model New Rural standards.

At the ceremony, comrades in the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of departments, branches, localities, Nam Dan district, representatives of the Nguyen Sinh, Hoang Xuan, Ha families and many people from all walks of life respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express their infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh.
