The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Council will hold a session to clarify the provision of domestic water to the people.
This is the content agreed upon by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Council at the regular meeting in August 2024 held on the afternoon of August 27.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation - Provincial People's Council, Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Council Committees, Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Accordingly, in the explanation session for the last 6 months of 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council will request the Department of Construction to explain the supply of domestic water to people in urban areas; the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to explain the supply of domestic water to people in rural areas.
Requesting clarification on the above issues, through understanding, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council found that, in recent times, the provision of domestic water to the people has had many shortcomings. Some water plants have been unfinished for many years and have not been put into use.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has approved the plan, outline, and decision to establish a specialized supervision delegation of the Provincial People's Council on "results of 3 years of implementing the public investment plan for 2021 - 2025 of Nghe An province (from 2021 to 2023).
The purpose is to evaluate the compliance with the law on public investment in 3 years (from 2021 to 2023) of the Medium-term Public Investment Plan for the period 2021 - 2025 of Nghe An province; achieved results, shortcomings, limitations, difficulties, and problems; determine the causes and responsibilities of organizations and individuals in organizing and implementing.
From there, propose and recommend solutions to effectively implement the Public Investment Plan for the 2021 - 2025 period, improving the efficiency of using public investment capital.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council also unanimously approved the plan, outline, and decision to establish a specialized monitoring delegation of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on crime prevention and control related to "black credit" activities; crimes using high technology to defraud and appropriate property.
The purpose is to clearly assess the results achieved; the shortcomings, limitations, obstacles, and difficulties; determine the causes and responsibilities of authorities at all levels, relevant agencies, departments, and sectors in the work of preventing and combating crimes related to "black credit" activities; crimes using high technology to defraud and appropriate property.
Thereby, recommending and proposing tasks and solutions to better implement crime prevention work related to "black credit" activities and crimes using high technology to defraud and appropriate property in the province in the coming time.
Prepare thoroughly for the accountability session and monitoring activities
Concluding the explanation session, Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Thai Thanh Quy requested that relevant agencies of the Provincial People's Council prepare carefully; in which, the agencies responsible for explanation are required to prepare a full explanation report according to the outline and have appendices attached for monitoring and supervision.
Regarding the assessment of the implementation of the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council in previous explanation sessions, the relevant agencies that have explained will report the implementation results in writing. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council will make specific conclusions in the explanation session for each content.
The Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council made specific conclusions on two important supervision contents of the Provincial People's Council and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
In particular, for the thematic supervision delegation of the Provincial People's Council on the results of 3 years of implementing the investment plan, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council noted a number of contents on selecting the subjects of supervision, including the need to work directly with the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Planning and Investment and units that have been allocated large public investment resources such as the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Transport.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also noted that through supervision, it is necessary to clarify the causes and effectiveness of adjusting investment policies for public investment projects; the progress of implementing key projects of the province and each district, city and town associated with evaluating the effectiveness, as well as planning key public investment projects of the industry and locality in the period of 2026 - 2030, with the view of continuing to select key, focal investments, not spreading them out.
