Big explosion in Quy Hop district, initial confirmation of fatalities
At around 5:30 p.m. on August 27, a large explosion occurred in Tam Hop commune (Quy Hop).
According to a private source of Nghe An Newspaper, at that time many people in Tam Hop commune as well as neighboring communes heard a loud explosion.
The explosion was later determined to have occurred at the home of Mr. HVQ (57 years old), residing in Quyet Tien hamlet, Tam Hop commune. When the incident occurred, Mr. Q. and his wife, Mrs. HTH (53 years old), were at home.
The explosion caused severe damage to the house, the roof was blown off and the walls collapsed.
According to sources, there were deaths, but no specific information.
After the incident, Quy Hop district authorities were present and blocked off the scene to assist in the investigation.
