The bus driver was driving against the flow of traffic on National Highway 48.
On the afternoon of August 30th, many residents were upset when a Thach Thanh bus drove against the flow of traffic on National Highway 48.
According to information from Traffic Police Team No. 1, under the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, at 3:30 PM on August 30th, the team received a report about a Thach Thanh bus driving against the flow of traffic on National Highway 48. Traffic Police Team No. 1, under the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, directed Task Force No. 4 to promptly verify and clarify the matter.
The investigation revealed that the driver of the passenger bus with license plate 37B – 018.35, a THACO vehicle belonging to Thach Thanh Company Limited (as reported by residents), was Mr. NVT, residing in Nam Dan, Nghe An.
At 4 PM the same day (30 minutes after receiving the complaint), the task force stopped the vehicle. Mr. NVT admitted to the violation at that time in the section passing through Thai Hoa town.
The task force proceeded to issue an administrative violation report against Mr. NVT for the offense of "Not driving on the right side in the direction of travel".
For this offense, Mr. NVT will be fined between 4,000,000 and 6,000,000 VND and have his driver's license revoked for 1 to 3 months.
