Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 150,000 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 4,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 149,000 VND/kg, an increase of 5,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today increased from 3,500 to 4,500 VND compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 149,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 150,000 VND/kg, an increase of 4,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Today, the average pepper price is at 149,600 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 5,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, with the highest price being 150,000 VND/kg.

By mid-August 2024, Vietnam had exported about 175,000 tons of pepper, surpassing this year’s target of 170,000 tons. If reserves are depleted, there will be a serious pepper shortage in the coming time.

Experts predict that pepper prices will continue to increase next week. Due to increased shopping demand during the National Day holiday, pepper prices have recovered to the level of early August 2024.

World pepper price today

Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,529 USD/ton, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,865 USD/ton.

The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,450/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,500/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,400/ton.

Vietnam's black pepper prices are stable at a high level, trading at 6,100 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 6,200 USD/ton for 550 g/l; and 8,800 USD/ton for white pepper.
