Regarding Van Lam's mistake in the second goal, the Korean strategist said: "At the beginning of the second half, the team's tempo was good, however, there was a mistake that led to the goal. Van Lam was under pressure and psychologically when facing the Russian team. I understand this and I did not share anything with him after the match. Lam needs time to overcome it. However, overall, he played well."

"We made changes in the defense, good at many times. The team also analyzed through video to get the best. The Vietnamese team did not score a goal but had a good performance," coach Kim Sang-sik concluded.

Meanwhile, the coach of the Russian team - Mr. Valeri Karpin also had an assessment of this match. ''This is a good match for us. The playing conditions in Vietnam are different, but it brings excitement to the players. We had a long flight here. Entering the match, the Russian team started slowly and played defensively, then the team increased the speed and won. The goal in this match is to have no one injured and get a relatively good result. After the first half, I made personnel adjustments when the players were not in the best condition''.

Evaluating the Vietnamese team, coach Valeri Karpin said: “The level of the Vietnamese team compared to Europe is not as strong, but they created a few dangerous opportunities in the match. I think the Vietnamese team has good players, but their physical strength is not outstanding. I am quite satisfied because the team is not used to the hot weather, but the players played well and won. If they had played in Russia, I would not be satisfied with this result. Although the team scored 3 goals, the players missed many opportunities.''

Regarding the mistake of goalkeeper Dang Van Lam of the Vietnamese team, coach Valeri Karpin spoke up to defend: “I think the important thing is the first goal. As for the second goal conceded by the Vietnamese team, the goalkeeper was partly at fault, but the mistake also came from the defender. Such situations can absolutely happen on the field”./.
