Typhoon No. 3, with gusts reaching level 17, is entering the Gulf of Tonkin.

According to the National Center for Hydrometeorology: The typhoon's center was located at 6:00 AM on September 6, 2024, at approximately 19.1 degrees North latitude and 112.4 degrees East longitude, about 168 km from Hainan Island and about 600 km from Quang Ninh province.

Maximum wind speed:Level 16 (184-201 km/h),Shocks exceeding level 17.

Forecast:Over the next 3 hours, the storm will move westward at a speed of approximately 15 km/h.

The National Center for Hydrometeorology forecasts heavy rain in the Northern and North Central regions, with localized heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind in the Northeast region, from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands, and the Southern region.

Sleepn sea:

- In the northern South China Sea, winds will be strong, reaching levels 11-14, with winds near the center of the super typhoon reaching levels 15-16, gusting above level 17; the sea will be extremely rough.

- From around noon on September 6th, the eastern part of the Gulf of Tonkin (including Bach Long Vy island district) will experience increasingly strong winds, reaching levels 6-7. From the evening and night of September 6th, the Gulf of Tonkin area (including Bach Long Vy and Co To island districts) will experience increasingly strong winds, reaching levels 8-9, then increasing to levels 10-11, with winds near the storm's center reaching levels 12-14, gusting to level 17; the sea will be extremely rough.

On land:

From the night of September 6th and early morning of September 7th, coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa will experience gradually increasing winds of force 6-7, then increasing to force 8-9, with winds near the storm's center reaching force 10-12, gusting to force 14; inland areas in the Northeast will experience strong winds of force 6-8, gusting to force 9-11.

On the nights of September 6th and 7th, heavy to very heavy rain fell in the northeastern region of Vietnam and Thanh Hoa province, with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 100-300mm, and exceeding 400mm in some areas.

On September 7th, both day and night, the northwestern region of Vietnam experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall, with common rainfall amounts of 70-150mm, and some areas receiving over 200mm.

Heavy rainfall is forecast for the next 24 to 48 hours.

On the nights of September 6th and 7th, heavy to very heavy rain fell in the northeastern region of Vietnam and Thanh Hoa province, with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 100-300mm, and exceeding 400mm in some areas.

On September 7th, both day and night, the northwestern region of Vietnam experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall, with common rainfall amounts of 70-150mm, and some areas receiving over 200mm.
