Pepper price today September 13, 2024 is in the range of 152,000-156,000 VND/kg, the domestic pepper price market is stable compared to yesterday. Vietnam's pepper export price suddenly increased sharply.

Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 156,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 153,000 VND/kg, unchanged compared to yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 156,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today are stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 155,000 VND/kg; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 152,000 VND/kg.

In August, Vietnam exported 19,420 tons of pepper, earning 116.7 billion USD, down 10.9% in volume and 10.1% in value compared to the previous month. Compared to the same period last year, the volume decreased by 3.1% but the value increased by 56%. The average export price of Vietnamese pepper in the first 8 months of the year was 4,800 USD/ton, up 46.7% compared to the same period last year.
By the end of the first 8 months of the year, the total pepper export volume was 182,930 tons, with a value of nearly 878 million USD, down 2.7% in quantity but up 41.8% in value thanks to high prices.
With rising pepper prices and a favorable market, Vietnam's pepper export turnover is expected to exceed 1 billion USD this year, marking a strong return of "black gold" after 6 years.
World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,557 USD/ton (up 0.19%), and the price of Muntok white pepper at 9,115 USD/ton (up 0.21%).
Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper price is at USD 7,400/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper price remains stable at USD 8,800/ton; ASTA white pepper price of this country reaches USD 10,900/ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices today increased at a high level, trading at 7,100 USD/ton (up 7.57%) for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 7,225 USD/ton (up 3.21%); white pepper prices at 10,150 USD/ton (up 9.14%).
Asia is the world's largest spice import market, while North America and the European Union (EU) are the leading markets for organic spices. Countries such as Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Italy are major European markets for spices, especially those with sustainability certifications such as organic, Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance (RA).
Vietnamese companies are actively pursuing organic and sustainable certification for their spice products to take advantage of export opportunities. For example, PTEXIM has developed 35.4ha of organic pepper in Dak Nong and 90ha of organic cinnamon in Yen Bai. PTEXIM has also developed a 35.4ha organic star anise growing area in Lang Son.
Mr. Dang Duong Minh Hoang, owner of Thien Nong farm, said his farm has 8 hectares of pepper that has been certified organic by the US, helping him sell products at high prices through Nespice Vietnam and export to many demanding markets.
